EuroCham’s Responsible Business Hub (RBH) and Training Academy successfully concluded a two-day intensive course on “Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) in the Agriculture Sector” on June 13th and 14th at Baitong Hotel and Resort Phnom Penh.
The training focused on fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among participants, equipping them to integrate ESG practices into their agricultural operations.
Over the two days, participants gained insights into:
– The overview of ESG and their relevance to Cambodian agriculture
– Identifying risks and opportunities of ESG for agri-businesses
– Identifying key metrics and issues across the three pillars of ESG
– Understanding the EU deforestation regulation and other relevant legislation
– Exploring effective strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions
– Implementing best practices for sustainable agricultural production.
