Towards Mandatory Due Diligence for Supply Chains

In light of increasing international standards deriving from new mandatory laws on sustainability due diligence (DD) across the globe, companies are subject to intensified due diligence duties in their global supply chains to analyse, prevent and address negative impacts of their business activities on people and the environment. International brands and retailers will consequently also increase their engagement with suppliers in the production countries.

To improve the ability of suppliers based in Cambodia to adapt and comply to these new regulations and reporting requirements, the European Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (EuroCham), supported by GIZ FABRIC (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) and the Textile Apparel Footwear and Travel Goods Association in Cambodia (TAFTAC) created the Cambodia’s first Responsible Business Hub (RBH) as information/ advisory/ support desk to improve the ability of Cambodian export sectors, especially the garment, textile and footwear sector, to adapt and comply to these new regulations and reporting requirements.
